Last day and back to Kuantan

the last photo before going back to Kuantan
The last day for this vacation. Finished with packing, we went to the beach to take some more photos. We walk to the jetty waiting for the ferry and some more photos. Upon arrival to the main land, we immediately rush to our cars. Thank god it was still there. The best part was when I hit a car. A hard collision as my rear bumper falls apart. What have I done to deserve this? Anyhow, the matter has been taken care of. With agony and humiliation, I drove my car swiftly.

A night to remember

After we watched a fire show at long island beach, we decided to go back to our chalet. On my way, I and my friends went back to our chalet, we saw a foreigner waiting beside of her friend who was lying down on the ground.  One of my friends asked the foreigner whether they need help. Both of the foreigners are from Spain and they want us to help them to lift her friends to chalet.  Her friend was drunk.  After 20 minutes we arrived to her chalet and she thanked us for lending a hand. The way she spoke kind of weird yet interesting.

Fire show at Long Beach

At the night, after performing our sholah, all of us decided for food hunt. We decided go to long beach to get food.  Long beach is famous in Pulau Perhentian kecil because of their food and fire show. We need to walk and it takes 20 minutes to arrive. As we know, the common thing people eat at an island is fish and so did we. The smell of foods with the waves gushing sound, it was a perfect moment. And then I was lost in the sweet, sourly and hot taste of freshly caught fish which I never heard of.  Even the price of the food is expensive but all of us are satisfied with the meals. After that, we decided to see the fire show. The fire show was performed by the native Johor people that stayed at the Pulau Perhentian and some of them are foreigner.

activity at Pulau Perhentian

we are ready for snorkeling
The next day, I was a little depressed as I missed the sunrise even though I have set the alarm around 6.20 am. I shouldn’t say morning but it was pretty early in the day. I went to the seaside and then it occurred to me that we need to do some snorkeling and there you have it, a group of 7 people in their swimming short and suits ready for snorkeling. We got to see some sharks, of course the small one, some coral reef, beautiful and majestic, some colorful fish and more. It occurs to me that how powerful our creator is as how magnificent and big the sea is. We went to five different locations and each location offers a new surprise. Also to mentioned how clear the water was. After all that activity, we went back to get prepared for some food feast competition among ourselves. Snorkeling was tiring but too fun to resist.

Food Hunt

some of fresh food from Amelia teratak cafe beach resort
My peaceful rest was disturbed when I heard a whale sound. I jolted from my rest and ran toward the sea view window to catch even a glimpse of the whale. Then I realized it was my stomach summoning for foods. So I invited my little group of companion for a food hunt. The moment we stepped our feet in the food compound, my eyes hurt so much as there were too many foods to see. And common things people eat at an island are fish and so did we. The smell of foods with the waves gushing sound, it was a perfect moment. And then I was lost in the sweet, sourly and hot taste of freshly caught fish which I don’t ever heard of. We continue to eat and eat until the night falls. Too much activity in one day so we called it a day and went to sleep.

First day at Pulau Perhentian

Some of us !!  Just arrived at Pulau Perhentian
We arrived. Finally, I was dying for this moment. So we parked the cars at the provided pay-per day parking lot. To go the island, we need to take the speed boat. The ride is exhilarating and fun. There were foreigners and there were a good sport. We mingle around with everybody. The adrenaline accumulated in our body was too much and we ended talking, singing and laughing. It was fun. After a stop at Pulau Perhentian Besar, we continue to Pulau Perhentian Kecil. The scenery itself was mesmerizing and we stood in astonishment at this magnificent view upon us. Then the boat stopped. We waddle to the guesthouse after thanking the driver. All that I can think about back then was my bed. God know how I had been longing for one.

The Journey Began

on the way go to Pulau Perhentian
We roll around 3 am. We took the old route considering at this time the road was surprisingly empty. We are all very excited and one of my friends, Akmal was super hyper. The journey was smooth and we used up more time as we drive slowly to savors this moment. The path looks incredibly amazing and we stopped to take some pictures. And we stopped at some r&r to eat, to pray and for toilet. The journey took much time than what we have expected. We spend 5 hours from Kuantan to Pulau Perhentian in car. Don’t even get me started on how painful my back was.
